As the sun sinks lower in the sky and the cooling day begs for something to warm it, some light to once again clarify its beauty, and some sound to break the quietness of approaching night, we light a fire. The crackle of the fire excites the silence, and its light reaches into shadows, and it gives us warmth and reassurance.
Stories do that. They reveal ideas to a thoughtful reader, provide warm company, and fill our imaginations with the sounds of another place and time. So we tell stories to communicate more than fiction and to cross that bridge that otherwise keeps us apart.
Click on over to my musicals and books tab to see my latest book or musical. However, if you’re just in the mood for a short story or essay, my stories by the fire page is your destination!
Thank you for reading my blog. Pull up a chair by the fire. It’s time for a story and a fireside chat!
